Yesterday, the Colorado Coalition Against Domestic Violence (CCADV) hosted a very moving rally at the Capitol observing October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Kudos to the East High School ‘Angels Against Abuse’ for raising awareness through their performances, as well as sincere gratitude to victims and survivors of dating violence for having the courage and composure to tell their powerful stories. Please join PPRM in joining the crusade against domestic and dating violence by pledging ‘It Stops With Me!’
Please visit www.ccadv.org for statistics on domestic violence and related services in Colorado. If you or someone you know is being abused, you can also visit this site for information on how to obtain safe and confidential support services.
Today, Governor Ritter will hold a news conference to sign an executive order establishing a universal policy to protect state employees from workplace and domestic violence.
